Wab Kinew’s NDP Team Will Grow the Economy
Responsible Plan will Lay Groundwork to Fix Healthcare, Make Life More Affordable
This morning Wab Kinew, Leader of the Manitoba NDP, stood with members of his team to announce his fiscal strategy to grow Manitoba’s economy. A plan to help improve health care and make life more affordable.
“Brian Pallister and Heather Stefanson have failed regular, hardworking Manitobans. Instead of handouts for billionaires, our team is putting forward a responsible plan to grow our economy to rebuild health care and make life more affordable” said Kinew. “I’ll balance the budget because I care about working people.”
The Manitoba NDP committed to a fiscal blueprint that will lay the groundwork to balance the budget within a term of Government and to work within the fiscal framework of the 2023 Summary Budget. Kinew committed to working with the fiscal summary and outlook outlined in the last provincial budget. However, Kinew promised to take a different approach so that real investments are made towards frontline health care.
“For too long Manitobans’ priorities have been ignored. But with a strong economy, we can stop the cuts, invest in our schools and hospitals and keep life affordable so hardworking Manitobans can catch a break,” said Kinew.
