Eric was born and raised in Thompson and he lives there with his children. Alongside Wab Kinew and the NDP, Eric is running to be the MLA for Thompson so he can fight to fix northern health care, make highways safer and invest in northern schools.
As a former health care aide, Eric has seen first hand how PC cuts have damaged our health care system and made life harder for people. He knows families in Thompson and the surrounding community deserve quality care close to home. He will fight to restore the Thompson footcare clinic and hire more nurses to create good jobs and better care at the bedside.
He will push back against PC cuts to snow clearing and highway maintenance so families can travel safely. He will protect local control of Mystery Lake schools and ensure northern kids can succeed in the classroom.
Eric is a leader who cares and knows how to get things done. As the former Chief of Shamattawa, he stepped up in a crisis when COVID cases surged in his community. When the PC ignored Shamattawa families, Eric took action. He brought in the military and Red Cross supports to save lives.
Eric is ready to work for families in Thompson and the surrounding communities. He’ll be an MLA who fixes problems and takes care of northern families.
