Billie Cross was elected as the NDP MLA for Seine River in 2023, proudly representing the communities of St. Norbert and River Park South, and currently serves as Government Whip in the Manitoba Legislature.

A former Indigenous Education teacher in the Louis Riel School Division, Billie has dedicated her career to supporting students, families, and communities across Manitoba. A proud Red River Métis woman, she has spent years volunteering in her community, particularly through coaching and organizing youth basketball programs.

Billie also understands the importance of supporting local businesses and working families. Alongside her husband, Steve, she co-operates a family-owned butcher shop rooted in community values and local service.

She currently serves as President of the Women’s Parliamentarians of Manitoba and remains committed to empowering young people, strengthening communities, and building a better future for Manitobans.
