Manitoba NDP nominates Sarah Pinsent-Bardarson as Candidate for Interlake-Gimli

August 10, 2026 | Gimli, Treaty 2 Territory, Traditional Homeland of the Métis Nation – The Manitoba NDP has nominated Sarah Pinsent-Bardarson as its candidate for Interlake-Gimli in the upcoming provincial election, Manitoba NDP leader Wab Kinew announced today.

“Families in Interlake-Gimli deserve an MLA who understands your priorities and will deliver results for you,” said Kinew. “Sarah Pinsent-Bardarson knows what families in the Interlake need. From lower costs to better roads, she’ll be a strong voice for what families need.

Pinsent-Bardarson is a long time Gimli resident and a mental health counsellor for Interlake families.

“Voters in Interlake-Gimli are ready for a change,” said Pinsent-Bardarson. “The PCs took our communities for granted. Families here deserve someone who will work hard to deliver better health care and help with everyday costs. The people of Interlake-Gimli know that I am invested in this role and that I have worked hard to earn their trust.”

Pinsent-Bardarson was nominated earlier today in Gimli. She said she is honoured to receive the nomination and will continue to work hard to earn the support of voters in Interlake-Gimli.
