“Brandon West deserves a strong MLA who understands your priorities and will get results for you and your family,” said Kinew. “Cora Dupuis knows what it takes to keep building Brandon – more doctors and nurses, lower costs for gas and groceries, and more good jobs.”

Dupuis is a community builder with more than 20 years of leadership in post-secondary education and workforce development. She currently heads the Co-operative Education Program at Brandon University, working to keep more young people working and living in Brandon and Westman. She is also active in local organizations including the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, GROW Brandon, and Her Seat at the Table.

“Voters in Brandon West are ready for a change,” said Dupuis. “They’re tired of the PCs taking them for granted, and they worry that under Obby Khan, they would keep cutting health care in our region. What I’m hearing from people on the doorstep is that they want better health care, and help with everyday costs – that's what I’ll work to deliver.”

Dupuis was nominated earlier today in Brandon at a nomination meeting with nearly 200 people. Dupuis said she is honoured to receive the nomination and will work hard to earn the support of voters in Brandon West.
