NDP Nominates Rachelle Schott in Kildonan-River East

Treaty 1 and Dakota Territory, Homeland of the Red River Métis, Winnipeg MB—  Manitoba NDP Leader, Wab Kinew, joined community members at Jeffrey’s Restaurant in Kildonan-River East to nominate Rachelle Schott as the NDP candidate for the constituency.  

“Families in Kildonan-River East are hoping for better days ahead,” said Schott. “They want a government that listens to them, protects seniors and invests in our kids' schools. I’m ready to  fight for them and take on the Conservatives in the next election.” 

Rachelle Schott grew up in Kildonan-River East. She is a mother and a dedicated community volunteer. She trained as a primary care paramedic and currently works as an educational assistant. She served as a project coordinator for the Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba, which helped educate Manitobans of all ages about the journey of reconciliation. Rachelle is committed to making life better for families in Kildonan-River East.  

“Rachelle Schott is the voice Kildonan- River East needs,” said Kinew. “She’s a community leader who cares and will fight for better health care and supports for families. The Manitoba NDP is working hard for families in Kildonan River-East and across the province who want a government that fixes healthcare, protects seniors and makes life more affordable.”
