NDP Nominate Chris Wiebe in Dawson Trail

The Manitoba NDP nominated educator and father Chris Wiebe to run for the NDP in Dawson Trail.

“Families in Dawson Trail feel abandoned by Brian Pallister and Premier Stefanson,” said Wiebe. “Instead of putting families first, they’ve made life harder and more expensive for families and seniors by cutting health care and education to give handouts to billionaires and out-of-province corporations. They continue to raise hydro rates and refuse to help families make it through this cost-of-living crisis. I know families in Dawson Trail want better health care, smaller class sizes and a life they can afford. Only Wab Kinew and the NDP can be trusted to deliver that future.”

Chris Wiebe lives with his wife and children in Lorette and has deep roots in Southern Manitoba. Chris is an active community member, involved as a volunteer with Gifts of Grace and with the Taché Food Resource Centre. Chris teaches Chemistry and Physics at the University of Winnipeg. He knows that families in Dawson Trail want better health care and seniors care and a life they can afford.

“Chris is a community leader who is committed to strengthening health care for families in Dawson Trail and making life more affordable” said NDP Leader Wab Kinew. “While the PCs put their political interests ahead of regular people, Chris and the NDP will always put families first. We are working hard to take on the PCs in Southern Manitoba and form a government that builds a brighter future for all of us.”
