Manitoba NDP Nominate Tom Lindsey in Flin Flon

The Manitoba NDP nominated Tom Lindsey to run again in the upcoming provincial election.

“Families in Flin Flon want a government that will fix Northern health care and make
their lives better,” said Lindsey. “But all they’ve got with Premier Stefanson is
empty promises and more cuts. If we have the opportunity to form government,
ourNDP team won’t abandon Northern families like the PCs. We'll fix health care and
make sure they have more services and an affordable life.”

Alongside the Manitoba NDP’s three other Northern MLAs, Lindsey who is a former
steelworker, has been fighting back against Premier Stefanson’s cuts to Northern
health care, education and infrastructure. As the NDP Critic for Labour, Lindsey led
the charge against the PCs anti-worker legislation like Bill 16 and Bill 28. Lindsey is
a strong advocate for better safety on Northern roads and has introduced a bill to
hold the government accountable for regular maintenance and snow removal.

Tom is a strong advocate for families in Pimicikamak, Norway House, Cranberry
Portage and all northern communities,” said Manitoba NDP Leader Wab Kinew. “He
fought against the PCs' cuts to obstetrics in Flin Flon and is working hard to return
birthing services to the north. Our team is committed to fixing health care, making
life more affordable and providing better opportunities and jobs for Northern
families.”
