• Critic for Agriculture

Diljeet grew up in Punjab, India, where he studied and taught at the Agricultural University. After immigrating to Manitoba he worked for the Department of Agriculture. He served as the NDP’s Critic for Agriculture. He also started volunteering with local youth leadership development programs and cultural shows and is passionate about building leadership skills for young people. In May 2022 he passed legislation to mark Turban Day and celebrate the significance of the turban to Sikh Manitobans.
