Paid Leave for Miscarriage in Manitoba

One in five pregnancies end in miscarriage. But in order to take time off to heal or grieve a miscarriage or stillbirth, pregnant Manitobans and their partners have to dip into their sick days, lose part of their paycheque, or risk losing their job. That's not right.

The Manitoba NDP wants to bring 3 days of paid leave for families so they have time to grieve. New Zealand just passed similar legislation. And we could be the first province in Canada to do the same. Let's pave the way forward and support women, families and all Manitobans who experience miscarriage and stillbirth. It's the right thing to do.

I support paid leave for miscarriage.
