Rob Jessup lives and works in Steinbach with his wife Michelle and two school-aged children. He moved to Steinbach in 2014 with his family, attracted by the welcoming community and reasonable cost of living. He provides a local alternative to voters in Steinbach who want to vote for someone who actually shares their values of a compassionate society where people take care of each other.
Rob has a focused plan to give his constituents a strong voice in the legislature starting with better health care, especially for families outside of Winnipeg. He will also advocate for a comprehensive plan to address the province-wide addiction crisis, for strategic investments that grow the economy and create more job opportunities, and he will make sure the diverse needs of those living in Steinbach and the surrounding area are being heard and met.
Rob is a team player who isn’t afraid to dream big and put in the work needed to build connections and achieve the goals of those he serves. When considering what inspired him to run, Rob worries that, with Brian Pallister’s Conservatives in power, our future does not seem bright. Hospitals are in crisis, kids’ classrooms are crammed, and everyday people face way too many barriers to success -- stagnant wages, no new jobs, and training opportunities that are far out of reach.
Rob wants to be a part of the team that helps families in Steinbach achieve their hopes for a bright and successful future. Rob is willing to work hard and go to bat for his community. He will be proud to represent every family in the Steinbach constituency.
