Stop Pallister's Post-Secondary Cuts

The Pallister government has ordered all colleges and universities in Manitoba to cut their budgets by up to 30%. These cuts would have a devastating impact in the short and long term - making it harder for students to complete degrees during the pandemic and undermining Manitoba's ability to offer high-quality post-secondary education in the future.

The Manitoba NDP believes that post-secondary institutions are essential in re-starting the economy after the pandemic has passed. Now is the time to invest in students, staff and instructors. We need strong post-secondary institutions to re-skill workers and help young people in a post-Covid world right here at home in Manitoba

I stand with staff and students and call on Pallister to stop post-secondary cuts.
