Manitoba NDP Nominate Nurse and Seniors Advocate Kathy Majowski for Lac du Bonnet

The Manitoba NDP have nominated nurse and Seniors advocate Kathy Majowski in Lac du Bonnet.

“People in this community are tired of PC cuts and ready for a brighter future. While life gets more expensive for regular folks and quality health care gets farther out of reach, the PCs are focused on giving handouts to billionaires. Lac du Bonnet families deserve an MLA that works for them,” said Majowski. “I’m running alongside Wab Kinew and the NDP because I know we are the only party that can tackle these challenges and make life easier for young people, seniors and working families.”

Kathy is a Mother, a Registered Nurse, and a strong advocate for older adults. As a nurse on the frontline of the pandemic, Kathy saw firsthand how PC cuts have gutted the health care system and made it harder for families across Lac du Bonnet to access the health care they need.  As the Board Chair of the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (CNPEA), she works as a powerful voice for seniors and families hurt by the PC’s cuts and privatization of services. She now wants to be a voice for Lac Du Bonnet families at the Legislature.

“Kathy is a frontline health care worker who is committed to fixing health care and protecting seniors,” said NDP Leader Wab Kinew. “While the PCs put their political interests ahead of regular people, Kathy and the NDP will always put families first.”
