Lisa Naylor Nominated as NDP Candidate for Wolseley

Manitoba NDP MLA Lisa Naylor was nominated as the New Democrats’ candidate in Wolseley constituency today, surrounded by Wolseley residents, family and friends, and her NDP colleagues.

“I love representing Wolseley, the West End, West Broadway and the incredible communities that call these neighbourhoods home,” said Naylor. “During the pandemic I’ve fought hard for the supports families and renters need to thrive while the PC government continued to make cuts. And it’s been an honour to serve as the critic for Environment and Climate Change. I will continue to fight for Wolseley constituents and all Manitobans and push for meaningful action on the climate crisis.”

Naylor serves as the NDP’s Critic for Environment and Climate Change. She has been relentless in fighting against the privatization of our public parks and holding the government accountable to follow environmental regulations and practices. Naylor has pushed the PCs to complete the North End water treatment plant and to keep it public. As an outspoken advocate on gender inclusivity and period poverty Naylor stands up for women and girls, non-binary and gender diverse Manitobans.

“Brian Pallister may be gone, but his PC government continues to ignore the climate crisis. The people of Wolseley can count on me to fight for them and for a cleaner, healthier future,” said Naylor. “Today is the first step towards the next election. The NDP, led by Wab Kinew, is ready to take on the Conservatives and form a government that works for all of us.”
